Manhi Son - Lic Ac. BSc(hons), MBAcC

Manhi studied full time for 4 years at the International College of Oriental Medicine and attained a BSc (Hons) from Brighton University.

Being of Korean descent but having lived in Austria for most of her life, Manhi grew up in a family immersed in both Eastern and Western medical traditions. Coupled with her interest in nutrition and healthy living, she is perfectly suited to Acupuncture which incorporates not only the treatments itself but invaluable lifestyle and dietary advice.

Having practised meditation for many years, Manhi is commited to her own personal development and brings a quality of calmness and quiet reflection to her treatments, that is especially effective when treating anxiety and depressive disorders which Manhi has a special interest in.

She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and is bound to its Code of Ethics and Code of Practice, guaranteeing an approved standard of training, hygiene and safety.

Acupuncture in Pregnancy

Acupuncture is becoming popular among GPs to help relieve morning sickness for pregnant women, a study shows.

It is hoped the findings will give wider recognition of the medical benefits of the ancient Chinese art.

The research follows a previous study which showed acupuncture's success in treating sickness in women recovering from breast surgery, including mastectomies.

"Our results have shown that as little as one acupuncture treatment can significantly change the way these women feel," said research co-ordinator Dr Caroline Smith.
